PLZPLZPLZPLZ do Goku. This isn’t a request but if you guys will do other tv show characters, do Goku. Your whole point of this project is to raise the popularity of brawl and I’m sure a Goku costume would work MAGICALLY. Lucario’s the perfect fit for a Goku costume and we’ve only seen one texture from lucario so far. PLZPLZPLZ, and again, this isn’t a request even thought it seems very requestlike…:P

Don’t worry, that will be done in the final version. That particular texture or effect was not included in Meta Knight’s texture file. It is most likely located in the common file and if we changed that, every single Meta Knight would have that effect applied. We’re still determining whether we want to go that route or not.

Are you “requesting” Goku into Lucario because it’s apparently the same voice actor? Or are you requesting Goku into Lucario because a few special moves are similar to one another? With those two facts aside, I don’t feel like this would work. I’m quite sure that Goku doesn’t look like a dog with spikes on his hands and fur on his chest. We have pushed the envelope a bit here, but that’s a bit too much. Who knows, though…We may make some sort of Dragon Ball Z character…

More on topic, I love out of the blue ones like this here. I swear the sw… er, lightsabers in the pictures actually glow at times.
@ Liero: I don’t know anything about the voice actor but I do know that Lucario’s special moves are very similar to Goku’s such as the B and Up B. But the main reason I think it’s the perfect match is Lucario’s body. He has big legs that go into skinny feet. That’s perfect for Goku because he has those baggy orange pants, that get small when they reach his brown boots. You can use the invisiblity texture for the spikes on Lucario’s feet. Then, Lucario also has a tail which you can make brown for Goku’s saiyan tail. Finally, I’m sure all of the stuff on Lucario’s head can be made into spiky hair or be removed with invisibility, the only problem is the dog face. But, I think it’s the best bet you got with Lucario, because what other texture can you make with him where the dog face WOULD fit? And DBZ has many videogames so it’s not straying from the rules too much

“Duck hunt dog lucario” could work. So could “Parappa Lucario.” “K.K.Slider Lucario” as well. Don’t forget the possibility of a “Sam and Max: Sam Lucario” dog. Oooh- this one’s good: a creepy, blood covered, “Resident Evil Zombie dog Lucario.” And these are just a few dog characters that have been in videogames.
The point is, there’s actually quite a few things you could make lucario look like that’s a dog. Goku would be a poor choice because he shares very few traits with Lucario, most likely making any attempt at a good looking model for Goku using Lucario pretty hard.
Sure, some of their moves are a bit similar looking, but so far most of the models in this project haven’t been focussed on for their movesets. Zim-Ness uses psychic projectiles and has a baseball bat. So does PheonixWright-Lucas. And I’m sure Luke Skywalker never used a boomerang, bombs, and arrows. But the costumes fit the models well, and that’s what matters more in comparison to a its moveset.
I’m guessing based upon the many models we’ve seen thus far that the models are really made by which character it would be possible on and if it would look good. I’m not ruling out Goku Lucario or Goku at all, but it’s just apparent that some model pairings such as a Goku-Lucario one would be most likely VERY difficult to successfully pull off.
Ooh, I like your ideas viraldude. KK slider and zombie dog lucario sound great! Hopefully Syntax Error breaks one of their bigger rules about two costumes per character because the possibilites are just endless and it’s exciting looking forward to the new costumes!
They have said that for many characters there will be more than 2 alternate costume changes so don’t worry about your favourite character already having 2 costumes.
Just curious, with the 2 skins per character, how are you choosing what skins to be replaced, and are any being replaced the default skins?
With all the talk of possible dog costumes for Lucario, I’m surprised no-one has mentioned Amaterasu from Okami. Surely that is an obvious choice.
Well Amaterasu walks on all 4’s and Lucario walks on 2 legs but i could see that happening cause of Lucario’s face and his nose look the same as Amaterasu’s face and they rlly should come out with another one cause that game was amazing both for the Wii and the PS2, I dont want Okami to become the next Golden Sun leaving a great story with so much to say just standing like that.
